Buzzard Day is a unique and lesser-known holiday in the United States that celebrates the migration of buzzards (turkey vultures), also known as turkey vultures. It is celebrated on March 15 and is associated with the annual return of these birds to the city of Hinckley, Ohio.

Celebration Traditions
Birdwatching. On the day of their return, tours and events are organized where locals and tourists watch the first buzzards appear in the sky.

Festivals and picnics. Hinckley and other cities that celebrate Buzzard Day host festive events, including picnics, exhibits, and nature lectures.

Educational Programs. Schools and environmental centers conduct classes on the role of buzzards in nature and their migratory habits.
